Our featured photo this week comes off the back of a well-deserved weekend retreat after a hard weeks work at the lodge. Catch up on our previous snaps here!
After hosting the annual Lake Pedder fishing competition over the weekend we had a couple of days off and decided to book a last minute room on Air bnb in our nearest town of New Norfolk.
Although it was last minute it was probably our best one yet! The self-contained unit was somewhere between a tree-house and a mountain chalet. A really unique spot resting precariously on the edge of a deep gully with views out over the Derwent Valley below.
Our stay was made all the more special by the fact we managed to temporarily adopt the resident cocker spaniel, Moose.
Living well beyond his life expectancy, the old boy is deaf, blind and riddled with arthritis. But he’s still undeniably cute and despite trying to walk home him home a few times only to be followed straight back, we succeeded to his charm and made him a bed for the night.
Thanks for having us Moose!
